Job description

While you will be exposed to multiple areas of in-house legal practice, your work will be concentrated in litigation, risk, and commercial insurance. You will work in collaboration with a talented global Legal Department to assess legal risks and partner on initiatives to ensure the company’s legal interests are protected and advanced effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on assigned legal matters on a variety of subject matters.
  • Project Management: Support Certificate of Insurance (COI) program and establish procedures and governance practices for customer requests for COIs.
  • Legal Work Product: Ability to draft memos, policies, powerpoints, briefs, contracts, emails, or other legal documents with guidance.
  • Organize Legal Materials: Collect and prepare information, paying attention to detail in reviewing and preparing documents.
  • Special Projects: Adapt to emerging needs within the Legal Department and handle other administrative tasks as assigned.

Required:

  • Education: currently enrolled in a J.D degree from an ABA accredited law school as a 1L or 2L, or current or recent undergraduate in. Risk Management/Insurance program. Strong academic track record.
  • Authorized to legally work in the United States.
  • Writing and Communication: strong writing and communication skills to articulate information in a clear and understandable manner. Relentless dedication to excellence in high-quality standard of work.
  • Independence: Ability to take ownership of multiple complex matters simultaneously while managing deadlines.
  • Collaborative: Be part of a fun, tech-driven and talented global legal team where innovation is encouraged to deliver creative, useful and results-oriented legal services to support the legal needs of the company.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, e-discovery tools, and legal research platforms such as Practical Law.
