This remote position allows counselors to work from the comfort of their own home while interacting with clients through secure video conferencing platforms. As part of a community health clinic model, counselors will primarily interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each facing their unique set of challenges. • Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to design individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of clients.
• Administer evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy, tailored to client requirements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other counselors, to deliver integrated care for clients.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and manage cases efficiently using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Participate in regular training sessions and workshops to stay current with the latest advancements in mental health practices.
• Utilize telehealth technologies to conduct sessions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and ethical guidelines.

This position focuses on providing support to a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and family-related issues. The LPC will work closely with clients seeking personal growth and healing, providing them with tools needed for recovery and empowerment. Our clinic aims to reach underserved populations, making this role critical in bridging gaps in mental health services.

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical or counseling setting.
• A strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal considerations surrounding counseling practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively build relationships with clients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.

• Specialization in areas such as trauma recovery, substance abuse, and family therapy is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and techniques that can be adapted to meet the needs of different clients.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment alongside health professionals.
