As a part of our virtual team based in Corona, California, your practice will primarily take place in a telehealth setting where state-of-the-art technology facilitates seamless communication and interaction with clients. You'll collaborate with a diverse team of mental health professionals, ensuring an integrated approach to treatment.

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand the unique emotional and psychological needs of each client.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that reflect the client’s circumstances, incorporating cognitive, physical, and social factors.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to individual and family dynamics, effectively addressing conditions prevalent in geriatric psychiatry.
• Engage in regular collaboration with geriatric psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure holistic support.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions and available resources, empowering them with knowledge for better decision-making.
• Maintain thorough, confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, ensuring a high level of accountability and professionalism.

This role primarily serves older adults, a demographic often faced with unique mental health challenges which could include depression, anxiety, and cognitive disorders. Your empathetic approach will be vital in building trust and rapport with elderly clients and their families. By providing tailored care and effective interventions, you'll help restore independence and improve overall quality of life for each individual.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health therapy, particularly with older adult populations.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities applicable to this demographic.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a patient-centered and empathetic approach to therapy.
• Proven ability to build rapport with elderly clients and their support systems, demonstrating patience and understanding.

• Hands-on experience in conducting both individual and family therapy sessions for older adults.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools that facilitate remote therapy.
• Exposure to interdisciplinary collaboration with healthcare providers specializing in geriatric care.
