Balanced Being Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C) for a full-time remote position. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, identifying client needs and developing a thorough understanding of their situations.
  • Create personalized treatment plans based on individual evaluations, incorporating evidence-based interventions tailored to specific challenges such as anxiety, depression, or relationship issues.
  • Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities to foster engagement and promote healing.
  • Regularly monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to ensure effective care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, medical practitioners, and social workers to refine intervention plans and enhance outcomes.
  • Provide follow-up care and manage referrals to different specialists or resources as required, ensuring continuity of support for clients during their recovery process.
  • Assist and educate families and primary caregivers on managing mental and behavioral challenges, fostering a comprehensive support system for clients.
  • Document all interactions and treatment plans diligently and maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and policy guidelines for mental health practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors primarily serve a diverse clientele, including individuals, couples, families, and groups facing various mental health challenges. This includes adults suffering from chronic stress, children navigating emotional difficulties, couples seeking relationship counseling, and those recovering from trauma or addiction. Your role will be to tailor therapeutic approaches to meet the unique needs of each client, empowering them to achieve optimal mental well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, with the ability to create clear case notes and articulate treatment goals effectively.
  • A strong sense of empathy combined with a professional demeanor to connect meaningfully with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical setting providing mental health counseling.
