Job description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Procurement Analyst. The Procurement Analyst is responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to guide them through the purchasing and vendor contracting process, which includes but is not limited to new contract negotiations, ongoing contract administration and renewals, purchase order management, contract notices, and enforcement of applicable policies. This position must possess a combination of analytical skills, business acumen, and effective communication abilities.

Day In the Life

  • Facilitate purchase requests, including the evaluation and onboarding of vendors, contract review, negotiation, and purchase order processes.
  • Execute the contract administration process, including handling requests, facilitating notices, managing vendor renewals, and ensuring appropriate approval and execution of legal and purchasing documents.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Legal, Information Security, Risk, Finance, and IT, throughout the purchasing process.
  • Maintain contract management system and associated processes for the tracking of contractual obligations, renewal dates, and expirations.
  • Negotiate with vendors on contract terms, conditions, and pricing.
  • Act as a liaison with legal counsel, internal business owners, internal stakeholders, and vendors to drive contracts to execution.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to leverage cost savings opportunities and establish cost effective practices.
  • Help internal customers troubleshoot and resolve vendor issues and challenges.
  • Perform deep dive analysis on contract and spend information to identify potential savings opportunities.
  • Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders, and team members.
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders in a way that positively engages their support using problem solving, persuasion, and proactive communication skills; help establish common goals and drive communication between both sides.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business management, supply chain, information technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, skills, training, and education.
  • 5+ yearsโ€™ experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, contract management, and/or related field delivering similar job outcomes.
  • Other functional experience, particularly in IT, business strategy, business analysis, the credit union industry or finance is an advantage.
  • Experience redlining and negotiating contract agreements preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with data analytical/reporting tools preferred.  
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Ability to prepare Executive Summaries of agreements which include business context, key terms, benefits, cost analysis, risks, and mitigations.

$75,800.00 - $96,700.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
