• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop customized treatment plans addressing individual client crises, behavior guidelines, risk assessments, and medication management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory standards and support overall compliance goals.
• Employ evidence-based screening tools in assessments and treatment processes to ensure the highest quality of care.
• Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary teams to devise and implement positive behavior support plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Engage in licensing and accreditation initiatives, ensuring that high standards of practice are maintained throughout the organization.
• Serve as a liaison among service systems, state agencies, and community partners to foster cohesive support networks.
• Establish effective communication channels to enhance collaboration and meet contractual obligations while promoting Shelby County Counseling Center's mission.
• Develop strategic relationships with external agencies, organizations, and potential funding sources to advance our services and community outreach.
• Prioritize ongoing personal and professional development through participation in workshops, conferences, and statewide meetings related to mental health practice.
• Embrace and promote the organization's mission, vision, and principles across all interactions.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director, adapting to the needs of clients and the organization.

This position serves a diverse client population, including those experiencing mental health issues, navigating substance use recovery, and living with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Your expertise will be essential in helping these individuals develop coping strategies, achieve their personal goals, and improve their overall mental health and quality of life. Engaging with clients in a compassionate, respectful manner is critical to fostering a trusting therapist-client relationship and facilitating positive outcomes.

• A Master's Degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• An Independent LMHC License is mandatory for this position.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient counseling, particularly in supporting clients with substance use disorders or developmental challenges, will find this role particularly rewarding.
