The Silver Lake Psychological Recovery Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

This position allows you the flexibility to work remotely while collaborating with colleagues in an outpatient office. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive individual and family therapy assessments, tailoring therapeutic interventions according to the unique needs of each client.
  • Facilitate therapeutic sessions both individually and in groups, employing evidence-based practices and maintaining up-to-date documentation within our systems.
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients while establishing clear boundaries to uphold ethical practices.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities to address diverse backgrounds and diagnoses as outlined in the DSM, ensuring culturally competent care.
  • Deliver ongoing treatment plans and facilitate psychoeducational groups that provide patients with the tools necessary to enhance their coping skills.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, sharing insights and contributing to clinical case discussions to promote collaborative treatment planning.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base includes individuals, couples, and families from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds facing challenges such as marital discord, family conflict, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Your ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds will be essential in providing empathetic and effective therapy.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field.
  • A current and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), free from suspension or probation.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role within an outpatient mental health setting, demonstrating clinical competence and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience
  • While not required, extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is highly preferred as we integrate mindfulness practices into our treatment approaches.
  • Proficient communication skills that foster a calming and supportive therapeutic environment.
