Big Leap Family Guidance Centers is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team as a Behavioral Health Therapist. This full-time remote position will allow you to work from the comfort of your home while making a significant impact on the lives of individuals in a school setting, helping them navigate their mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to identify clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and resources to create a comprehensive understanding of each individual.
  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed care.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that contain achievable goals and appropriate interventions, adjusting as necessary based on client progress.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure consistent and effective care delivery across all levels of support.
  • Offer crisis intervention services, perform risk assessments, and develop safety plans to support clients in acute need.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate documentation adhering to ethical and legal standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups that foster community and understanding among participants.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Big Leap Family Guidance Centers, you will work primarily with children and adolescents in a school environment, addressing a variety of mental health issues and providing therapeutic support. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and you will play a critical role in helping them cultivate resilience and improve their overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
  • An active state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Connecticut.
  • A strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, preferably with children and adolescents.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for telehealth practices and electronic health record systems.
Compensation and Benefits
