Law and Motion Attorney - Remote


Career Consulting Partners is proud to partner with a well-established labor and employment law firm located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. The firm is seeking a driven Labor and Employment Attorney to join its expanding plaintiff-side practice.
Our client is seeking an experienced Law and Motion Attorney to support its employment litigation practice. This role is focused exclusively on legal research, writing, and motion practice and may be performed fully remote.
The ideal candidate is a strong legal writer with deep experience in California employment law who can work independently with minimal supervision. This attorney will work closely with litigation teams and firm leadership to develop persuasive written advocacy at every stage of litigation.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Draft and respond to motions, including demurrers, motions to strike, discovery motions, and motions for summary judgment/adjudication

  • Prepare oppositions and reply briefs

  • Draft complaints and amended pleadings in labor and employment matters

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on California employment law issues

  • Prepare internal memoranda related to litigation strategy and legal issues

  • Ensure all filings comply with California procedural rules and court requirements

  • Collaborate with litigation attorneys to strengthen case strategy through written advocacy

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

  • An active member of the California State Bar in good standing

  • 1 - 4 years of experience practicing employment law

  • Substantial experience handling law and motion practice in California employment matters

  • Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage assignments independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment

  • Demonstrated ability to handle a caseload independently and meet deadlines

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary: $120,000 - $175,000
