Work EnvironmentThis position is fully remote, allowing our counselors to connect with clients in a comfortable and confidential setting. At North Land Psychotherapy Center, we foster a supportive and collaborative professional community. Our therapists work closely with one another, sharing insights and strategies to encourage personal and professional growth. Administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and insurance processing are efficiently managed by our in-house team, allowing counsellors to focus on their clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health needs, leading to the formulation of tailored treatment plans.
- Implement various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based strategies, during individual therapy sessions.
- Set collaborative therapeutic goals with clients and actively monitor progress toward these objectives.
- Provide teletherapy services to accommodate clients with diverse needs, ensuring accessibility and convenience.
- Document client interactions and treatment progress meticulously to uphold ethical and professional standards in practice.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to remain current with best practices in mental health care.
Our counselors work with a diverse array of clients, ranging from adolescents to adults, who are facing a variety of mental health challenges. Particular attention is given to individuals managing symptoms of trauma, anxiety disorders, and depressive episodes. Our holistic and client-centered approach ensures that counselors can create tailored therapeutic interventions that resonate with each client’s unique life situation.
Qualifications- A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD.
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
- Exemplary organizational and time-management skills to manage caseload effectively.
- A compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
- Previous experience in an outpatient counseling setting, with a strong understanding of the teletherapy landscape.
- Specialty training in trauma-informed care, addiction recovery counseling, or family dynamics is advantageous.
- Experience utilizing practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and communication.
