Position Title: Security IDaaS Engineer (REMOTE)
Location: Richmond, VA (On-Site) / Remote from any Federal Reserve System-approved location

Pay Rate: $65.00/hr on W2
Position Description:
Join a dedicated team supporting the Federal Reserve Bank in safeguarding national financial systems. As a Security IDaaS Engineer, you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management solutions within a secure, innovative environment. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work remotely or onsite with flexible collaboration, utilizing your expertise to enhance authentication, authorization, and security protocols for one of the world's most critical financial institutions. Collaborate with top-tier IT professionals, support cutting-edge projects, and contribute to the security of economic and payment systems nationwide.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering activities including configuring application integrations, managing IAM objects (users, groups, service accounts, API tokens), and supporting incident resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with the Federation Services team to enhance secure authentication, authorization, and IDaaS solutions, reducing manual processes and improving speed to market.
  • Assist in designing and developing code for access management services, improving change management practices, and ensuring rapid recovery from security incidents.
  • Share expertise across teams, identify continuous improvement opportunities, and uphold best security practices.
  • Prioritize tasks, work within cross-functional teams, and manage time effectively to meet project goals.

Top Requirements:
  • Proven experience with Okta and IDaaS platforms; hands-on configuration and management of IAM objects and enterprise identity services.
  • Strong knowledge of federated authentication protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth, including secure integration and implementation.
  • Expertise in identity lifecycle management (IDM/IDLM) and identity governance solutions (IGA).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Postman, and REST APIs to streamline IAM processes.
  • Practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure environments, including Entra ID and security compliance in regulated settings.
