Overview
**This position is contingent upon award of contract**
SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking Korean Linguists to support a US Government Client. Linguists will serve as subject matter experts and leverage Korean and their cultural expertise to translate materials and documents into English language products.
Essential Job Duties
  • Gist, summarize, and translate Korean printed, electronic, or audio/visual material into clear, understandable, and idiomatically correct English.
  • Leverage knowledge of culture, media, and language to answer Client questions.
  • Adhere to Client style and translation standards to prepare all products.
  • Efficiently leverage Client-specific tools and workflows.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, including same day.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma and three years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency at least 4/4+ (ILR) level in Korean. Proficiency will be determined by standardized language exams which must be completed as part of the application process.
  • Expertise related to country and surrounding regions where Korean is spoken natively.
  • Experience with open source research and support, product creation and dissemination, collection management and workflow support.
  • Experience in open source social media collection, analysis, and exploitation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to engage collaboratively and effectively in a virtual environment within a diverse team.
  • Strong time and task management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC).
