Description

SAIC is seeking a Knowledge Manager to support a long‑term space program focused on studies and analysis. This role will lead efforts to collect, document, organize, and maintain historical and contemporary program knowledge to enable mission continuity, informed decision‑making, and strategic planning.

The Knowledge Manager will develop and implement processes, tools, and methodologies for capturing lessons learned, preserving legacy analyses, and managing structured knowledge repositories. This position will also maintain and administer a community knowledge database, ensuring compliance with customer policies, classification guidelines, and data management best practices.

As a key member of the program team, the Knowledge Manager will work closely with technical subject matter experts and mission partners to assess technical relevance, prioritize information needs, and develop high‑quality reports and knowledge products.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, catalog, and maintain historical analyses, program data, and key artifacts.
  • Develop strategies, processes, and tools for storing, organizing, and sharing program knowledge.
  • Administer and configure a community knowledge database in alignment with customer requirements and security policies.
  • Collaborate with technical experts to assess data relevance and create meaningful knowledge products.
  • Design, recommend, and implement digital solutions to modernize knowledge repository systems.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, effective presentations and documentation to leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Introduce and promote knowledge management best practices across the program.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in developing, managing, or evaluating knowledge repositories, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong understanding of data repository and knowledge management best practices.
  • Proficiency with digital tools, platforms, and systems for repository management.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and develop high‑quality reports and presentations.
  • Experience designing or maintaining digital knowledge systems or repositories.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with light scripting, automation, or developing web‑based interfaces for data access and workflows.
  • Familiarity with technical domains such as engineering, spacecraft design, orbital mechanics, or sensor systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with classification guidelines and data handling procedures.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
