Their main goal is to make information easily accessible and understandable for users, customers, or internal teams. This role typically involves collaborating with subject matter experts, using content management systems, and ensuring that articles are accurate, clear, and up-to-date. Remote Knowledge Base Writers often work for tech companies, SaaS providers, or customer support teams that need comprehensive self-service resources.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Knowledge Base Writer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Knowledge Base Writer, you need strong writing, editing, and research skills, typically supported by experience in technical writing or content creation. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), knowledge base platforms such as Zendesk or Confluence, and basic HTML are often required. Attention to detail, self-motivation, and excellent communication skills are vital for producing clear, user-focused documentation while collaborating remotely. These abilities ensure the creation of accurate, accessible resources that enhance user experience and support organizational knowledge sharing.

How does a Remote Knowledge Base Writer typically collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy?

Your opportunity

New Relic is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our outstanding engineering organization! Technical Program managers play a vital role at New Relic leading the planning, execution, and delivery of large cross functional programs in support of our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is a strong Program Manager with a senior-level understanding of cloud, engineering, software, and systems development lifecycles.

This TPM position will be focused on our Security and Identity initiatives including driving the adoption of customer IAM, managing security programs to enforce compliance standards and protect sensitive data environments and tracking program health and vulnerability management trends.

What you\'ll do

  • Identify and operationalize the metrics and key performance indicators necessary to track progress, and drive issue resolution & mitigation at a granular level across the organization.
  • Create and operationalize processes to transform the effectiveness of the organization with respect to meeting business goals.
  • Drive effective communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple stakeholders and disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Work with teams to identify and handle our top risks and drive decisions to align leadership on the right level of risk for each project.
  • Facilitate productive meetings from small (3-5 people) to large (100 people or more).

This role requires

  • 8+ years of experience working on a software development team as a TPgM or engineering manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years in project and program management
  • 6+ years delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience driving enterprise security and/or compliance programs
  • Deep understanding of authentication protocols, API security, and cloud architecture.
  • Can anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Can drive programs with a significant amount of ambiguity and facilitate definition and clarity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience communicating with senior leadership
  • Inquisitive with technical and business skills to understand, test, and challenge while working harmoniously with the business and technology owners
  • A good understanding of the New Relic platform and its capabilities
