The position of ERISA Advisory/Defined Contribution Retirement Consultant is to increase sales of Allianz Employer Markets in-plan annuity products within the respective named territory. Selling Allianz's Lifetime Income + product will be effected through direct contact (in person, phone and video conferencing) with ERISA Advisory financial advisors. This will be further accomplished by building relationships with ERISA Advisors, "non-producing" Allianz financial advisors, Asset Management and other strategic selling partners to distribute our products. The individual will work with business partners including Internal Retirement Consultants, Sales Supervision, and Sales Enablement. Additionally, the candidate maintains a well-honed and current DCIO knowledge base and experience in the retirement plan investment business, along with best practices and established sales tools, to meet DCIO sales goals.

What you do:
Building ERISA Specialist Advisory relationships and selling: Develop, retain and grow relationships and sales volumes with Specialist ERISA Financial Advisors, in the assigned territory, through face to face, phone and video wholesaling. This will include delivering non-product value to advisors, i.e., Continuing Education, Retirement strategies presentations, and FinTech demonstrations.
Time and Territory Management: Segment the advisors in the territory utilizing multiple data sources, create the territories zones and rotations, and implement the processes for efficient and targeted activity including all administrative responsibilities.
Development: Continued learning of our product, competitors' products, other retirement income strategies and distributors. This can be done by leveraging internal resources and earning industry designations.
Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)
What you bring:
  • 4-5 years of experience of ERISA Advisory/Defined Contribution Investment Only experience required; Proven sales ability and results. Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • FINRA Series 6 & 63 and Life Insurance licenses required.
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Ability to manage extensive travel (up to 50% of time will be traveling within the territory). Evening and weekend business functions. Comfortable with talking on the phone and presenting on video calls.
Job posting range $100,000.00 - $125,000.00
Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. In addition to base salary, a portion of your total compensation is based on variable compensation. Actual variable compensation earned is driven by assigned territory and individual sales performance.
