Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise network operations by monitoring performance and assisting with routine operational tasks across LAN, WAN, wireless, and external connectivity environments.
- Generate and maintain bandwidth and utilization reports, providing visibility into network performance and usage trends.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), availability metrics, and service performance to support SLA compliance and operational oversight.
-Perform trend analysis to support capacity planning and identify potential performance or scalability issues.
- Maintain network documentation, including configuration records, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Assist in preparing and distributing communications for planned outages and maintenance activities.
- Support incident response activities by assisting mid and senior engineers with monitoring, ticket updates, and basic troubleshooting tasks.
- Update and maintain records in enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow), ensuring accuracy and completeness of operational data.
- Collaborate with network engineers and operations teams to support service delivery and maintain operational continuity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy and operational processes.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Experience supporting IT operations, network operations, or technical support functions in an enterprise environment.
- Ability to create and maintain reports on network performance, utilization, and availability metrics.
- Experience using reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, dashboards, or similar platforms).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including routing, switching, and network performance metrics.
- Ability to maintain technical documentation and operational records accurately.
- Experience supporting ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) for tracking operational activities.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with routine operational tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze trend data for reporting and capacity insights.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1+ years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a related technical role.
