Job description

Syensqo is all about chemistry. We're not just referring to chemical reactions here, but also to the magic that occurs when the brightest minds get to work together. This is where our true strength lies. In you. In your future colleagues and in all your differences. And of course, in your ideas to improve lives while preserving our planet's beauty for the generations to come.

We are looking for:
- A Key Account Manager - North America, Agriculture Specialties (Performance & Care) to join Syensqo's commercial team and help grow our agriculture specialties portfolio across the region. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of customer intimacy, technical problem-solving, and value-based selling, partnering closely with Technical Service, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Management to bring differentiated solutions to market.
- Someone who enjoys being in the field with customers, understanding their challenges (formulation performance, regulatory constraints, sustainability targets, and supply reliability), and translating those needs into winning account strategies and long-term partnerships.
We count on you to:
- Own and execute the key account strategy for a defined set of strategic customers/distributors in North America, delivering profitable growth (revenue, margin, mix) in line with business objectives.
- Build strong multi-level relationships (procurement, technical, marketing, operations) and develop a trusted-advisor position grounded in technical credibility and business acumen.
- Lead the full commercial cycle: opportunity identification, technical positioning, pricing strategy, negotiation, contracting support, forecasting, and post-launch follow-up.
- Drive new business development by identifying whitespace opportunities (new applications, new crops, novel formulations, sustainability claims) and coordinating internal resources to convert them into qualified projects.
- Translate customer needs into internal action: collaborate with Technical Service/R&D on trials, product recommendations, troubleshooting, and value propositions; ensure clear documentation of learnings and next steps.
- Monitor market dynamics (competition, raw material trends, customer pipeline, regulatory and sustainability shifts) and provide actionable insights to guide portfolio and pricing decisions.
- Ensure disciplined execution using CRM tools and sound forecasting practices; support S&OP by providing timely, accurate demand signals.
- Promote a strong safety and compliance mindset in all interactions, including adherence to relevant commercial, antitrust, trade compliance, and product stewardship requirements.
You can count on us for:
- A role with visible impact by helping customers improve performance and sustainability in agriculture through science-based solutions within Syensqo's Performance & Care platform.
- A collaborative, international environment where commercial and technical teams work closely and where your ideas can shape account strategy and go-to-market execution.
- Opportunities to deepen expertise in specialty ingredients, formulation science, and application-driven selling, supported by strong internal technical capabilities.
- Ongoing development through coaching, training, and exposure to cross-functional projects (innovation, portfolio, supply chain, sustainability).
- A culture grounded in Syensqo's purpose: "We are scientific explorers pursuing breakthroughs that advance humanity."
You will bring:
- Bachelor's degree required in Chemistry, Agronomy, or a related field with 10+ years' experience in the Agriculture industry.

Location:  North America - USA (flexible; remote/hybrid

Travel: expected ~40-60% (customer visits, field trials, industry events).
