SierTeK Ltd. is seeking two (2) Web Developers to support an opportunity remotely. 

Position Overview Section 

We are seeking two experienced Web Developers to support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and modernization of web-based applications within the Human Performance and Wellness System (HPWS) in support of the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM).

The selected candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and deploying secure web applications while collaborating with government stakeholders, program managers, and technical teams. Successful candidates will possess strong full-stack development experience with Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle databases, JavaScript technologies, and secure software development practices.

Essential Job Functions

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain HPWS web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle PL/SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and related technologies.
  • Complete an initial orientation period and demonstrate technical proficiency within the HPWS development environment.
  • Collaborate with USAFSAM personnel and the HPWS Program Office to gather, analyze, and document technical and functional requirements.
  • Develop new application capabilities and enhancements based on approved functional requirements.
  • Produce technical documentation including requirements documents, system designs, database diagrams, test plans, deployment plans, training materials, and related project artifacts.
  • Ensure all development activities comply with established coding standards, design methodologies, and project management processes.
  • Design and maintain user interfaces that meet Section 508 accessibility requirements and W3C WCAG standards.
  • Implement secure coding practices that support Risk Management Framework (RMF), Department of the Air Force, Department of Defense, and HIPAA information assurance requirements.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training materials and conduct demonstrations or training sessions as required.
  • Participate in project meetings, technical reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Provide weekly project status updates using government-approved tools and reporting methods.
  • Prepare and submit change requests, deployment documentation, and code review packages.
  • Address code review findings and implement required modifications.
  • Work independently or collaboratively within a development team environment to successfully complete assigned projects.
  • Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment.

Minimum Position Requirements

Education and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field and a minimum of four (4) years of web development experience utilizing Adobe ColdFusion and Oracle databases; or
  • Bachelor's degree in any field and a minimum of six (6) years of web development experience utilizing Adobe ColdFusion and Oracle databases; or
  • Post-secondary education and a minimum of eight (8) years of web development experience utilizing Adobe ColdFusion and Oracle databases.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Experience developing web applications using Adobe ColdFusion, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with Oracle databases and PL/SQL development.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining relational database models and database objects, including tables, views, sequences, triggers, procedures, and functions.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL query development and optimization.
  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX-based transactions.
  • Experience conducting system analysis, troubleshooting, and reverse engineering existing applications.
  • Experience working throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of secure software development principles and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements and WCAG standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
