Work Environment

This position operates within a remote work setting while also being affiliated with an outpatient counseling office. Counselors will engage with clients on an appointment basis, allowing for an adaptable schedule that meets the needs of both clients and staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and comprehensive evaluations that inform customized treatment plans for clients, ensuring each plan is tailored to their unique needs.
• Provide a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions targeting individuals, couples, families, and groups to address a wide array of mental health challenges.
• Utilize diverse therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, adapting these techniques as necessary to meet clients' specific objectives.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, ensuring a holistic approach to client care that encompasses all aspects of their well-being.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records, adhering to the ethical standards and legal regulations governing counseling practices.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed on the latest research, attending workshops, and seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele ranges from individuals facing transitional challenges to those grappling with more severe mental health issues. We have a particular emphasis on trauma-informed care, substance abuse, family dynamics, and couples counseling, thereby providing a supportive environment for diverse populations.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Tennessee.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in delivering counseling services, with a preference for candidates who have worked in clinical settings.
• Demonstrable knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal standards pertinent to counseling practices.
• Excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong rapport and trust-building with clients from various backgrounds.
• A proven track record of collaborating effectively within a team and engaging with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant software for efficient documentation and client management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in specialization areas such as trauma recovery, substance use disorders, family therapy, or couples therapy is strongly preferred.
• Previous work with diverse populations and a strong understanding of cultural competency in therapy practice.
