Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, providing a healthy work-life balance for our counselors. Collaboration is key; you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, dedicated to offering comprehensive care tailored to each client’s needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to formulate tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting clients’ well-being.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to diverse client groups including individuals, couples, and families.
  • Employ a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy based on the distinct needs of your clients.
  • Maintain precise clinical records while adhering to ethical standards and legal regulations to ensure high-quality, compliant service delivery.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and staying abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele ranges from individuals experiencing common emotional challenges to those facing complex mental health issues such as trauma, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties. You will be instrumental in helping clients navigate their struggles and empower them to achieve their emotional goals.

Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of ethical counseling practices, confidentiality standards, and state regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the establishment of trust and rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and comfortable with technology-related tasks.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, family therapy, or couples counseling.
  • Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
