Work Environment

This role is set in a remote outpatient office environment, allowing counselors to connect with clients via telehealth or in-person sessions at our office. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations of clients to formulate effective, personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored specifically for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Utilize diverse therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy to address various mental health concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate clinical records while ensuring compliance with all ethical standards and legal regulations related to counseling practice.
  • Continuously engage in professional development activities, attending workshops and seeking relevant training to stay updated with the latest advancements in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients are diverse and may present with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and relationship challenges. Counselors will have the opportunity to work with individuals from different backgrounds, ensuring inclusive and culturally competent care. Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional counseling experience, ideally within a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Strong understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations surrounding counseling practices.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to form effective therapeutic relationships with clients from varied backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and foster collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and associated documentation tools for client management.
Preferred Experience
  • Specialization in areas such as trauma, family therapy, or addictions counseling is highly regarded.
  • Experience in electronic health records systems and telehealth platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
