Server Systems Engineer
Rate: $70-$75/hr | 3-Month Duration | Location: Dublin, CA (Hybrid)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Server Systems Engineer to support a short-term infrastructure initiative focused on enterprise server architecture, engineering, deployment, and operational optimization. This role will partner closely with internal stakeholders to design, implement, standardize, and support Microsoft and HPE server infrastructure solutions while providing documentation, knowledge transfer, and best practice recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, engineer, and implement Windows Server 2025 infrastructure solutions.
  • Design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
  • Architect and implement Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) solutions.
  • Administer and engineer Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) environments.
  • Design and support Windows clustering and high-availability solutions.
  • Develop and maintain server infrastructure standards based on application and workload requirements.
  • Deploy and manage lifecycle operations for HPE ProLiant Rack and Blade server environments.
  • Configure, administer, and troubleshoot HPE iLO environments.
  • Administer HPE OneView, including:
    • Server Profiles
    • Networking configuration
    • Storage management
  • Conduct infrastructure assessments and provide:
    • Technical documentation
    • Operational recommendations
    • Knowledge transfer
    • Infrastructure best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of enterprise server infrastructure engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Hyper-V engineering experience.
  • Expertise supporting and engineering Windows Server 2025 environments.
  • Experience with Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) and SCVMM.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and supporting HPE Rack and Blade server infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with HPE OneView and HPE iLO.
