RFP/RFIForward Deployed Engineers(FDEs)at SailPoint embark on their journey by undergoing comprehensive productand salestraining. Thisinitialphase allows them to harness their existing experience, paving the way for a profound understanding of our SaaS solutionsand the challenges theysolve forourcustomers.

  • Withintwo months,FDEsbeginparticipatinginsales dealswhere they willleveragetheirproduct implementationexpertiseas well asclient and partner communication skillstoimplementfoundational solutionsand proof-of-value implementations,leading to rapid time tovalue.
  • After their first six months,FDEswillbe expected to serve as technical leads oncustomer engagements andhave established themselves as both technical and consultative experts within the SailPointSalesorganization
  • By the end of their first year,they will have become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and to less experienced team members.They mayhave the opportunityto speak at national or regional conferences and user groups.

Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of professional work experience as part of an enterprise software company, systems integrator, or consulting firm; 3+ years of software implementationor pre-salesexperience.Experiencein software development,implementation,and configuration
  • Excellent communications skills and extensive experience workingdirectlywith clients and partners
  • A working knowledge of technical infrastructure including web services, application servers, databases, virtualization, and directories isrequired
  • Conversant in modern SaaS architecture
  • Experience withagentic coding toolssuch as
  • Cursor, Claude Code, Kiro, Google Antigravity, GitHub CoPilot,OpenAI Codex
  • Familiarity with Java, XML,Python, SQL,Powershell,JSON, Azure/AWS/GCP is desirable

Benefits and Compensation listed vary based on the location of your employment and the nature of your employment with SailPoint.


As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the SailPoint Corporate Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission, along with potential eligibility for equity participation. SailPoint maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect SailPoint's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-max, USD):

$106,100 - $178,770.00

Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee's home location.
