SOFTWARE DEVELOPER SENIOR

As a Senior Java Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining highquality, scalable, and secure Javabased applications that support critical business operations. This role serves as a technical expert within the development team, providing handson coding, architectural guidance, and mentorship to junior developers. The Senior Java Developer collaborates closely with crossfunctional partners-including product owners, architects, QA engineers, and DevOps teams-to deliver robust solutions aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities include leading the development of new features and enhancements, optimizing system performance, ensuring code quality through reviews and testing, and contributing to architectural decisions. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of Java, Spring ecosystem, APIs, cloud technologies, and modern software development methodologies. List of tasks to be performed:
Participate in the project planning and developement process.
Assist or lead in preparing programming specifications and in developing coding logic

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $126,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee's date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
