Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote IT & Tax Project Manager. This job is fully remote outside of the first week of traning onsite in either Washington D.C. or Hoboken, NJ. Occasional travel (1-2 times) is required outside of that during the contract period.
Summary:
We are seeking a Tax Technology & Transformation Project Manager to lead strategic tax transformation initiatives and drive successful delivery across cross-functional teams. This role requires hands-on project management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage projects with structure and discipline. The ideal candidate will proactively identify risks, solve problems, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end delivery of tax technology and transformation projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timeline, and business objectives
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels to manage expectations, drive decisions, and ensure project alignment
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables using tools such as Jira and Confluence
* Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track
* Coordinate cross-functional teams (tax, IT, finance, and vendors) to deliver against commitments with strong execution discipline
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years hands-on project management experience delivering complex technology or tax transformation initiatives
* Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to engage and influence at all organizational levels
* Demonstrated planning and execution discipline, with experience managing timelines, priorities, and resources
* Experience using Jira and Confluence for project tracking, documentation, and collaboration strongly preferred
* Strong risk management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement practical solutions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
