Position Summary:

CVS Health is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Manager, Synthetic Research & Platform Growth to lead the deployment, scaling, and commercialization of synthetic customer research primarily focused on third-party research delivery. This role operates at the intersection of product management, research, emerging AI technologies, and commercial strategy.

The Senior Manager will be responsible for building and operationalizing research programs, developing AI-powered customer intelligence assets, managing client engagement activities, and identifying opportunities to expand synthetic research and simulation adoption across additional business units and external partners. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in customer research, insights generation, product strategy, stakeholder management, and business development with a strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry, specifically Pharma.

Location:

Hybrid in hub location preferred (NYC, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Hartsfield, or Woonsocket RI). Will consider remote.

Key Responsibilities:

Research Strategy & Execution

  • Design and oversee qualitative and quantitative research programs leveraging simulated capabilities. While translating business questions into research initiatives that deliver actionable customer insights.
  • Build repeatable research frameworks, playbooks, and measurement approaches.
  • Lead end-to-end research activities including study design, participant recruitment strategy, analysis, insight generation, and executive reporting.
  • Ensuring research outputs drive measurable business decisions and customer experience improvements.
  • Influence decision making through data-driven storytelling and customer-centric recommendations by presenting findings, recommendations, and strategic roadmaps to executive audiences.

Platform Ownership

  • Serve as business lead for agents within the platform building, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of the product.
  • Establish governance, operating models, workflows, and quality standards for platform usage.
  • Partner with technology, data science, and vendor teams to ensure successful implementation and enhancements. Monitor platform performance, utilization, and business impact.
  • Maintain agent banks for relevant stakeholders for simulation. Ensure output and simulation results are relevant and when not, reach out to our platform team to rectify results.

AI-Driven Customer Intelligence

  • Lead development of customer archetypes, digital twins, synthetic audiences, and agent-based research methodologies.
  • Build and maintain knowledge assets that improve research speed, scale, and quality.
  • Partner with data science and AI teams to validate outputs and ensure responsible application of AI technologies.
  • Create reusable insight libraries and strategic intelligence repositories ensuring others.

Commercialization & Growth

  • Develop strategies to commercialize synthetic research capabilities through internal chargeback models, partner engagements, and expanded service offerings.
  • Identify opportunities to scale synthetic research across CVS Health business units, product teams, customer experience organizations, and external partners.
  • Support partnership discussions, sales enablement activities, and executive presentations.
  • Create adoption plans that increase platform utilization and revenue-generating opportunities, business cases demonstrating value realization, and track ROI.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in customer insights, market research, product management, strategy, consulting, or related disciplines, working in healthcare, pharmaceutical, health services, or other regulated industries.
  • 5+ years of experience leading research agendas, conducting qualitative/quantitative research, and translating insights into product action, using a statical platform such are r, python, or other stats packages to conduct research.
  • 5+ Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level; capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously.
  • 4+ years tracking and monitoring ROI and establishing additional ways to monetize platforms.
  • Candidate should have strong analytical capabilities, communication, and storytelling skills in which success translates findings into business outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of privacy, research compliance, and AI-governance (HIPAA. IRB standards, GDPR, etc).
  • Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, non-clinical and research cycles with expert knowledge around the various stakeholders in the healthcare space around the product life cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A keen understanding of the Artificial Intelligence landscape and emerging industry trends, with a track record of applying new technologies to solve business problems for enabled research and syntenic audience methodologies.
  • Experience leading platform adoption, change management, and enterprise scaling initiatives.
  • A history of working with teams to automate data pipelines ensuring results are reputable and time tor research is reduced while ensuring the data is safe in transit.
  • Familiarity with agent-based modeling, digital twins, customer journey analytics, and advanced customer intelligence tools.
  • Working knowledge of IQVIA, Komodo, and other platforms supplementing pharmaceutical research.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelors in Market Research, Business, Behavioral Science, Human Factors, Data Science, or related field.
  • Masters degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
