Work Arrangement

Hybrid: The role can be performed hybrid (2x/week) in one of our offices: New York City, San Francisco, Boston, or Salt Lake City

Remote: This role is open to remote  candidates located in AL, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, NJ, NM, NY, OR, TX, UT, VA, or WA. We're unable to consider candidates residing outside of these states at this time.

If you live within 50 miles of one of our hub offices, in Salt Lake City, New York City, San Francisco, or Boston, this role will be hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2 days per week.

The Opportunity

The Manager, Social & Influencer role at Method Communications is responsible for executing and overseeing comprehensive social media and influencer marketing strategies across a broad range of client accounts. In this role, you will be an active team leader responsible for monitoring trends and opportunities to further our clients' communication objectives. With expertise spanning social media management, influencer partnerships, and paid social campaigns, you should have the ability to create compelling content strategies and understand the best channels and partnerships to amplify your client's story. You'll act as a mentor to junior staff and play a strong supporting role to senior management, while demonstrating strategic thinking about content, optimization, audience growth, influencer collaborations, and paid social performance.

Responsibilities

Account Management

    • Manage personal assignments and daily account management using effective organizational tactics
    • Support and mentor junior team members to effectively manage their roles and responsibilities
    • Ensure timely responses to clients' queries and comments across all social and influencer touchpoints
    • Direct monthly client priorities and demonstrate a results-oriented mindset to help clients achieve social media, influencer marketing, and paid social goals
    • Ensure accurate ClickTime and time-entry management

Social Media & Influencer Management

    • Write compelling social media copy, plan content strategies, and utilize social media tools and industry best practices for brands and executives
    • Propose creative campaign ideas and influencer partnership opportunities to clients on an ongoing basis
    • Research emerging social networks, influencer trends, and paid social features beneficial to our clients and make recommendations to leadership
    • Manage multiple social media accounts and influencer relationships (including content coordination, community engagement, campaign execution, and performance measurement)
    • Support Method's social media channels, leveraging brand guidelines to build our profile in key markets
    • Identify, vet, and manage relationships with relevant influencers and content creators; negotiate partnerships and ensure deliverable execution
    • Plan, execute, and optimize paid social campaigns across platforms; manage budgets and report on performance metrics
    • Present social, influencer, and paid social results, recommendations, and trends to clients confidently and with authority; serve as domain expert explaining core concepts to non-experts

Business Development

    • Eager to learn and expand expertise in emerging areas including organic and paid social strategies and influencer marketing innovations
    • Collaborate with agency partners in new business development planning and RFPs, actively participating in pitches with social and influencer expertise
    • Leverage social research tools and influencer data to develop insights from social listening and creator analysis for new business pitches
    • Present findings and recommendations without industry jargon to make insights accessible to all stakeholders

Agency Leadership

    • Advocate for and educate teams on social media and influencer marketing through day-to-day contact and agency training; provide roadmaps for integrating social and influencer strategies with PR initiatives
    • Deliver constructive feedback when necessary across all staff levels to ensure optimal outcomes
    • Maintain a strong, positive presence within the agency as a subject matter expert
    • Work collaboratively with social, content, and account teams to deliver exceptional results for clients

What We're Looking for

  • 3+ years experience in social media and influencer marketing at an agency or in-house team
  • Background and/or strong interest in emerging technologies, with ability to work across multiple, diverse industries
  • Demonstrated ability to develop insights from social listening tools and influencer analytics platforms (SproutSocial, Creator.co, AspireIQ, native platform analytics, etc.)
  • Experience identifying, negotiating with, and managing influencer partnerships; understanding of FTC compliance and disclosure requirements
  • Hands-on experience planning a paid social campaign across major platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, etc.)
  • Detailed understanding of social and influencer analytics - how to find, interpret, and simplify results for clients without industry jargon
  • Ability to communicate professionally with client leads, influencers, and internal team members daily
  • Collaborative, team-oriented leader with strategic mindset and ability to mentor junior staff
  • Passion for innovation and commitment to continuous learning and team development
  • Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple campaigns, influencer relationships, and paid social initiatives
  • Understanding of how social and influencer support broader PR objectives

Salary Ranges

We believe all employees should be rewarded competitively and equitably, using practices that are simple and transparent. Final compensation for this role will be determined by a number of factors including candidate's education, relevant work experience and geographic location.
