Job description

Underground Solutions, Inc. (UGS) has an opening for a Pipe Inventory Coordinator. This position is a remote position but you must be based in Central or Mountain time zone to support across all US time zones.

Underground Solutions, a subsidiary of Azuria Water Solutions Company, is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing companies in the water infrastructure and electrical conduit market with a portfolio of proprietary and patented technologies targeting water and wastewater infrastructure improvement and undergrounding of electrical conduit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1 year of inventory control, logistics or material coordination experience within construction, or manufacturing industry preferred

  • Must have strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate confidently with project teams, suppliers, and freight carriers

  • Enjoy coordinating people, materials, and processes within a structured environment with established systems and procedures

  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office applications, and experience with inventory management using an JDE or other ERP

  • Understands the importance of accuracy, urgency, and accountability

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and transportation providers and enjoys being a key contributor to the success of multiple projects

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote work environment, including experience taking ownership of tasks and follows through until completion

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the tracking, allocation, and movement of pipe inventory across multiple projects and locations

  • Maintain accurate inventory records, coordinate material shipments, and ensure project teams have the materials needed to support project schedules and customer commitments

  • Work closely with the Scheduler, Project Managers, Purchasing Agents, Operations team members, vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners

  • Monitor inventory levels and availability to support active projects and upcoming customer requirements

  • Allocate and assign pipe inventory based on project schedules and operational priorities

  • Assist in coordinating shipments of inventory to project sites and storage locations

  • Work closely with the Project Managers to ensure material availability aligns with project timelines

  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Purchasing Agents, and Operations team members to identify current and future material requirements

  • Coordinate freight and transportation activities with vendors and internal logistics coordinators

  • Assist in tracking shipments and proactively communicate delivery updates, potential delays, and inventory concerns

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and project stakeholders

  • Follow established inventory control processes and procedures while identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Prepare inventory, allocation, and shipment reports, as needed

  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies and material availability challenges
