This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to manage your schedule within the core hours of Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. While primarily a telehealth role, some evening hours may be required on a rotating basis to accommodate client appointments. You will be equipped with the latest telehealth technology, ensuring you can connect with clients effectively from the comfort of your home.

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify clients’ mental health conditions and substance use issues, paying special attention to any co-occurring disorders.
• Collaborate with clients in developing customized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based interventions and therapeutic approaches.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate the development of essential skills such as coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.
• Coordinate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, engaging with psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to provide a seamless and holistic approach to client care.
• Perform regular monitoring of substance use and employ motivational interviewing techniques to support clients throughout their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families on the intricate relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, interventions, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Actively participate in case conferences and staff meetings to share insights and strengthen your skills in treating co-occurring disorders.

You will primarily work with a diverse clientele suffering from various co-occurring disorders. This population may include individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, substance use challenges, and other comorbid conditions. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients from different backgrounds will be crucial in establishing rapport and fostering trust.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within Arizona.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based treatments specifically designed for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that facilitate effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team environment.

A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health counseling, especially within telehealth settings. Experience in integrated care models and familiarity with electronic health record systems will be advantageous.
