Position Overview

Serene Reflections Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our remote team, providing essential services to clients in a detox center setting. This full-time position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in social work, addressing the complex needs of individuals undergoing detoxification and recovery. You'll be instrumental in fostering the emotional and psychological well-being of clients while promoting their overall health and recovery journey.

Work Environment

This is a full-time remote position that offers flexibility in scheduling while ensuring that client needs are met. You will primarily work from home, but occasional visits to the detox center may be required to engage directly with clients. Our work culture values collaboration, open communication, and a supportive team environment, where you'll have access to resources and support to excel in your role. Expect a schedule from Monday to Friday, typically between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the possibility of evening or weekend hours based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments of clients entering the detox program, with a focus on understanding their emotional, mental, and social needs.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, setting realistic goals while addressing personal and familial concerns.
  • Provide counseling services that help clients navigate the emotional challenges associated with detoxification and promote healthy coping strategies.
  • Advocate for clients by connecting them to necessary resources within the community, such as housing assistance, mental health services, and support groups.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care and effective communication regarding client progress.
  • Monitor clients’ well-being through regular check-ins, adjusting care plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and interactions.
  • Educate clients and their families on available resources and programs that support recovery and enhance stability in their lives.
  • Maintain meticulous records and documentation, ensuring accuracy in client assessments, care plans, and progress notes to comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Stay current with best practices in social work and addiction recovery, participating in regular training and continuing education opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals undergoing detoxification, who often face significant emotional and psychological challenges related to substance use. You will support clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique needs during this critical phase of recovery. Your understanding of the complex issues surrounding substance use and recovery will be central to your success in this role.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in social work, preferably within a detox or mental health setting.
  • Sound knowledge of addiction issues, recovery processes, and available community resources.
