To thrive as a Remote Internship Node.js Developer, you need a solid understanding of JavaScript, Node.js frameworks (such as Express), and basic web development concepts, often supported by a relevant degree or coursework. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Heroku) is typically expected. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and self-motivation are standout soft skills for remote collaboration and continuous learning. These skills are crucial for delivering high-quality code, collaborating with distributed teams, and adapting to evolving project requirements in a remote environment.

What are some common challenges faced by remote Node.js developer interns and how can they be addressed?

Remote Node.js developer interns often face challenges such as limited real-time communication with team members, difficulty understanding project requirements without in-person guidance, and managing time effectively across different time zones. To address these issues, it's important to proactively communicate via messaging tools, participate actively in virtual meetings, and make use of documentation and code comments. Establishing a regular check-in schedule with mentors and leveraging collaborative platforms like GitHub and Slack can also help interns stay connected and aligned with the team.

What is a Remote Internship Node Js Developer?

This type of internship is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build their skills and gain exposure to professional development environments without needing to relocate.

Job description

TTEC Digital is seeking an MSP Sr. Developer to join our AWS Partner Practice. This is a remote role based in the United States. As a core member of our Managed Services Practice (MSP), you will shift focus from project-based delivery to ongoing managed services โ€” owning, operating, and continuously improving AWS-based solutions for our clients over the long term.ย

Our MSP teams function as autonomous units supporting multiple client environments simultaneously. Unlike project delivery teams, MSP teamsย are responsible forย the health, reliability, and evolution of live production systems. You will lead a team of 3โ€“4 developers, working closely with a dedicated MSP project/service managerย and Technical Account Managersย to handle incident response, change management, continuous improvement initiatives, and proactive infrastructure enhancements.ย

The MSP Sr. Developer reports to the Executive Director and is expected to contribute to Best Practice Documentation and internal tooling standards across the organization.ย

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Leading daily standups and service review meetings with your internal team and clientsย as needed, covering ongoing incidents, change requests, and operational health.ย

  • Owning the operational stability of client AWS environments โ€” monitoring, incident response, root cause analysis, and remediation.ย

  • Managing and executing change requests and enhancement work through Jira, including infrastructure-as-code updates using CloudFormation and Serverless Framework templates.ย

  • Collaborating with clients on roadmap planning, translating evolving business needs into actionable backlog items for your MSP team.ย

  • Mentoring junior developers on both technical skills and the disciplineย requiredย for managed services: documentation, runbooks, and SLA awareness.ย

  • Staying current on the latest AWS services and broader cloud industry trends, proactivelyย identifyingย opportunities to improve client environments.ย

  • Contributing to internal MSP best practices, tooling, and playbooks to improve team efficiency and service quality.ย

  • Handling professional conflict constructively โ€” the lead has final say on technical decisions andย is responsible forย maintainingย team morale and cohesion.ย

What You Will Bring:
  • 7+ years of development experience with a strong, recent focus on Node.js/TypeScript and AWS services.ย

  • Demonstrated expert knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture, including Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, Redshift, and VPC/network configurations.ย

  • Experienceย operatingย in a managed services or operational support environment โ€” not just project delivery โ€” with an understanding of SLAs, incident management, and change control.ย

  • Thorough knowledge of agile and ITSM methodologies; comfortable blending Scrum practices with service management disciplines.ย

  • Ability to mentor junior team members constructively, fostering growth while maintaining strong team relationships.ย

  • A mindset ofย seekingย to understand before prescribing a solution โ€” essential in long-term client relationships.ย

  • Willingness to stand behind your convictions while committing to team decisions.ย

  • A genuine love of technology and continuous learning, particularly the latest services and best practices from AWS.ย

ย Desired Skills

  • Experience with the Serverless Framework (serverless.com).ย

  • Python development experience.ย

  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch)ย

  • Background in Amazon Connect or contact center technology.ย

  • Experience designing and integrating AI/ML solutions using AWS AI services such as Amazon Lex, Bedrock, SageMaker,ย Comprehend, or Transcribe.ย

  • Familiarity with large language model (LLM) integration patterns, prompt engineering, and AI-powered automation within cloud-native architectures.ย

  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and conversational AI, including chatbot development and voice/chat automation.ย
