Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial interviews with clients to gather essential information regarding their mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
  • Document cases meticulously from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring that client records meet legal and organizational standards.
  • Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and individual needs to develop tailored intervention and recovery plans.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based therapeutic methods to foster engagement and promote healing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing various mental health issues. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Illinois.
  • Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Prior experience in a mental health counseling position, demonstrating an understanding of therapeutic techniques and client engagement.
  • Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate and secure patient documentation.
  • Knowledge of physical health conditions and addiction issues impacting mental health is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
