• Conduct thorough initial interviews with clients to gather essential information regarding their mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
• Document cases meticulously from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring that client records meet legal and organizational standards.
• Evaluate clients' mental health conditions and individual needs to develop tailored intervention and recovery plans.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based therapeutic methods to foster engagement and promote healing.
• Continuously monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals to formulate and implement comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients admitted to hospitals to ensure coordinated care.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement preventative strategies to support clients in overcoming these obstacles.
• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers in managing the mental health challenges experienced by their loved ones.

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families experiencing various mental health issues. Our patient population may include those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding clients through their recovery process while fostering resilience and self-efficacy.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Illinois.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Prior experience in a mental health counseling position, demonstrating an understanding of therapeutic techniques and client engagement.
• Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate and secure patient documentation.
• Knowledge of physical health conditions and addiction issues impacting mental health is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, alongside a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.

• Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural nuances in mental health.
• Knowledge of the best practices as per the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and the impact of prescribed medications on mental health.
• Interest in ongoing professional development and a commitment to lifelong learning in the field of mental health.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
