Job description

CTG is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager II to lead enterprise technology projects for a Fortune 500 client. This role is ideal for a collaborative project leader who excels at managing cross-functional teams, driving project execution, mitigating risks, and delivering high-quality IT solutions on time and within budget.

Type: Contract

Job Title: IT Project Manager II

Location: Position is remote, but MUST be in the Texas region for occasional travel to site.

Pay Rate: $60.00 - $62.00./hour

Work Hours: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

What You'll Do
  • Lead IT projects through the full project lifecycle—from planning through implementation and closeout.
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional business and technical teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and executive updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, business requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reporting.
  • Support continuous process improvements and project management best practices.
  • Occasionally travel to Texas client locations as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of IT project management experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple technology projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing project scope, budgets, timelines, and risks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or similar project management tools.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and systems integration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification.
  • Experience managing projects in a global enterprise environment.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
