ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, this role leads both the strategy and execution of InterDigital's long-term growth agenda. The position integrates corporate strategy, M&A, and strategic partnerships, with a strong emphasis on intellectual property (IP) licensing and monetization.

This leader will shape strategic direction, originate and execute high-impact transactions, and partner closely with licensing and legal teams to drive value from InterDigital's IP portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strategic insight, deal execution experience, and familiarity with IP-driven business models.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Strategy

  • Lead development of corporate strategy and long-term growth roadmap

  • Identify priority markets, technologies, and monetization opportunities

  • Conduct market, competitive, and technology assessments

  • Develop strategic recommendations and present to executive leadership and Board

Corporate Development & M&A

  • Lead end-to-end M&A and IP acquisition efforts (sourcing, diligence, execution, integration)

  • Build and manage a focused pipeline of high-impact opportunities

  • Evaluate strategic fit, financial returns, and IP value in potential transactions

  • Lead valuation, deal structuring, and negotiations

Partnerships & IP Licensing

  • Develop and support strategy for IP licensing and technology partnerships

  • Collaborate with internal licensing teams on structuring and negotiating agreements

  • Identify opportunities to expand licensing programs and monetize IP assets

  • Structure complex commercial and licensing arrangements with global partners

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with R&D, licensing, legal, and finance teams to drive execution

  • Lead strategic initiatives from concept through implementation

  • Ensure alignment between corporate strategy and operational execution

Qualifications:

  • 12-15+ years of experience in corporate development, strategy, investment banking, consulting, or related fields

  • Demonstrated experience with intellectual property (IP) licensing, technology licensing, or IP-centric business models

  • Strong M&A execution experience, including deal sourcing and closing

  • Strategic mindset with ability to translate insights into action

  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills

  • Legal background (JD), an advanced degree or MBA, or meaningful experience working on licensing, contracts, or complex negotiations is strongly preferred

Location: Conshohocken, PA (Greater Philadelphia area) preferred; but open to other InterDigital office locations. Remote flexibility available. Regular travel to InterDigital offices and external partners is expected.

A reasonable estimate of the current salary range specific to New York/CA is $175,000 - $280,000 /annually + discretionary incentive bonus, benefits and may include other forms of compensation components such as long-term incentives. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
