Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct intake and psychosocial assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Create and present evidence-based treatment plans to the Collaborative Drug Review Process (CDRP) and treatment teams for feedback and approval.
  • Lead clinical case conferences to ensure comprehensive care coordination and implementation of treatment strategies.
  • Deliver educational presentations focused on chemical dependency issues to enhance awareness among students and staff.
  • Provide individual and group counseling services, addressing various addiction challenges, trauma history, and emotional concerns.
  • Facilitate family and multi-family therapy sessions, fostering open communication and healing among relatives.
  • Manage case coordination, offering resources and referrals to ensure that families receive the support necessary to thrive.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on adolescents within the school system, addressing issues such as behavioral challenges, substance use, mental health disorders, and family dynamics. You will be instrumental in providing a safe and nurturing environment, helping students develop coping strategies and resilience in facing lifeโ€™s challenges.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
  • Active LCSW licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Minimum of two years of post-graduate, supervised experience in addiction medicine therapy gained within the last five years.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in school settings or with adolescent populations is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with families and educational staff in multidisciplinary settings.
