• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions and any substance use issues, identifying co-occurring disorders effectively.
• Collaborate closely with clients to develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique challenges using evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, equipping clients with coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and skills for emotional regulation.
• Engage in ongoing communication with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, to ensure cohesive treatment approaches.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques during regular follow-ups to support clients through their recovery processes.
• Educate clients and their families on the connections between mental health and substance use disorders to enhance understanding and improve treatment compliance.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client treatment progress, interventions, and referrals, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in professional development initiatives, including case conferences and training sessions focused on the latest methodologies for co-occurring disorder treatment.

This role requires a deep commitment to serving clients facing complex challenges due to co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Colorado.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, particularly Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• A strong grasp of the interaction between mental health and substance use issues to effectively address client needs.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling setting, especially focused on co-occurring disorders.
• Experience in a remote or telehealth setting is advantageous, given the nature of this position.

The salary range for this position is USD 75,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and education. This role also presents a competitive benefits package, including:
