The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented NBI Systems & Data Assistant to support their critical risk management function during a temporary leave of absence. This is a remote, 3-to-6-month contract role (not a temp-to-perm position) designed to provide immediate operational coverage and ensure strict data integrity across incoming conflict reviews and new business processes. In this role, you will play a key part in protecting firm operations by validating data accuracy, resolving inconsistencies, and facilitating seamless cross-departmental communication.

Location
This position is a 100% remote role open exclusively to candidates residing in the Pacific Time Zone (specifically targeting candidates based in San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, San Francisco, or Seattle). Daily working hours are structured around standard PST business hours, with no regular travel required .
What You Will Do
Reviews the breadth of open clients and matters to confirm accuracy and thoroughness of data provided, and updates information where appropriate .P erforms self-evaluative quality control checks on existing new business intake data. Communicates directly with partners and legal professional specialists to gather missing or incomplete data. Works cross-departmentally with Finance, Practice Group Directors, and other internal leadership to communicate specific and global changes to client and matter data. Identifies data integrity issues within new business forms and subsequently resolves them appropriately. Handles additional systems, data verification, and administrative risk management tasks as assigned.
Who You Are
Minimum 1+ year of experience in quality control, data management, or risk compliance within a law firm, corporate legal department, academic institution, or similar professional environment. Strong proficiency with business communication and data management tools, with preference given to candidates holding experience with InTapp or similar legal intake/conflicts software. Demonstrated ability to identify data discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and systematically resolve integrity issues. Meticulous attention to detail with proven skills in prioritizing competing tasks under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Paralegal Certificate preferred.
Flexibility & Work-Life Integration
Work Structure: 100% Remote (Candidates must reside in CA or WA / PST time zone).
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM PST.
Environment: Independent remote desk environment requiring high self-discipline, sedentary computer work, and frequent cross-departmental coordination.
