Job Description

The Senior Systems Analyst will serve as the primary architect and lead System Administrator for the X-energy financial engine, owning the end-to-end management and evolution of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform. Responsibilities include designing complex financial models, managing data integration with systems like Deltek Costpoint, Workday HCM, [AK1.1]and automating FP&A and Operations workflows for global forecasting capabilities.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Lead the system administration, roadmap management, and architectural evolution of the Workday Adaptive Planning platform.
  • Design and maintain complex financial models, reports, dashboards, and templates to support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), rolling forecasts, and ongoing financial reviews.
  • Perform Administrator functions such as maintaining the models, dimensions andmanagement of user access.
  • Manage and test data integration between Adaptive Planning and external systems (Deltek, Workday HCM, Excel) using APIs, OfficeConnect, and ETL tools; includes connection review, data flow validation, SQL column verification, loader/mapping maintenance, task scheduling, and troubleshooting.
  • Automate FP&A workflows and provide technical support and training to global platform users.
  • Manage training of new system users.
  • Maintain documentation regarding FP&A system related processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Workday Adaptive Planning Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-growth technology or startup environment.
  • Proven experience building complex financial models from scratch within the Workday Adaptive Planning environment.
  • Professional experience in a Finance or accounting-focused business role.
  • Technical proficiency in advanced sheets, assumptions, and formulas within Adaptive Planning.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools, such as Gemini, to automate or optimize system workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end system implementations or major platform upgrades.

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD.

Work Site Expectations: Remote Based
Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed
Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation
