Remote Data Entry Specialist – Medicaid Registration 

Start date - early August

Hours: 8 – 4:30 pm CST

Training length: 4 weeks

This position will last approximately 6 months during the open enrollment season.

At the end of open enrollment individuals will have the opportunity to apply for other positions within the project and/or organization. 

Data Entry/Registration training: approximately 4 weeks based on business need, class is remote.     

NOTE: trainees cannot miss more than 8 hours of registration training.

  • Transaction Processing Associate II $15.25/hr 
  • Transaction Processing Associate II Bilingual - $15.75/hr

Job Description:

As part of the KanCare Clearinghouse Program, the Customer Service Data Entry Specialist will provide quality customer service and is responsible for gathering thorough documentation and accurately entering information into various systems for the KanCare program.

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviews submitted applications and enters the applicant information within the Kansas Economic and Enforcement System (KEES).

  • Research and analyze issues and ensure sufficient information is available to make decisions on the next steps. Conducts additional searches to extract accurate data and inputs the same.

  • Completes assignments using multiple source documents to verify data or use additional information to do the work.

  • Maintain with up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, and guidelines
  • Provides high-quality customer service and focuses on the accuracy of information provided
  • Follows up on pending documents involving analysis.

  • Returns erroneous electronic data forms to the customer for additional information. 

  • Attend training assigned to develop and enhance current understanding of Kansas Medicaid eligibility programs and to begin to develop expertise in additional areas of determination categories. 

  • May answers questions about the eligibility process and provides general program information for Family Medical and E&D/LTC Programs

  • Responds to questions courteously, accurately, and concisely

  • Evaluates information received through a phone contact and asks appropriate follow-up questions, solicits additional information, and evaluates the potential impact of the information provided

  • Use standard technology: telephones, e-mail, and web browsers

Preferred Skills or Knowledge:

  • Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in Family Medical Medicaid eligibility

  • Knowledge of Medicaid and managed care programs

  • Active listening skills
  • Customer Orientated 
  • Ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalities
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation
  • Willingness to work as part of a team
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all records and communications
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English with the ability to speak and read both languages fluently.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent; post-secondary education preferred

  • Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in customer service

  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in data entry

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to maneuver in complex software systems

  • MS Office, Outlook, and Internet usage experience

  • Requires excellent data entry skills and the ability to type a minimum of 28 words per minute accurately

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated hourly rate for this role is $15.25.
