National Real Estate Senior Title Examiner 

Location: Remote (U.S) 

Job Type: Full-Time 

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 based on experience


About the Position 

We are seeking an experienced National Real Estate Title Examiner to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and knowledgeable in examining residential and commercial real estate titles across multiple states. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate title commitments and identifying title issues that may affect real estate transactions.

Responsibilities 

  • Examine residential and commercial title records for refinance, purchase, HELOC, and equity transactions nationwide.  
  • Review public land records, deeds, mortgages, judgments, tax records, probate matters, liens, easements, restrictions, plats, and other recorded documents.  
  • Prepare accurate title commitments and title reports. 
  • Identify title defects, clouds on title, and curative requirements.  
  • Verify legal descriptions, ownership, vesting, and chain of title.  
  • Review surveys, municipal searches, tax information, HOA documentation, and other supporting documents.  
  • Ensure compliance with state underwriting guidelines and company procedures.  
  • Communicate effectively with title officers, escrow teams, lenders, attorneys, and underwriters regarding title issues.  
  • Assist with resolving title defects prior to closing.  
  • Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting established turnaround times.  
  • Stay current on state-specific title requirements and industry regulations.  


Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years of title examination experience (multi-state experience required).  
  • Strong knowledge of real estate title principles and chain of title analysis.  
  • Ability to examine titles in multiple jurisdictions throughout the United States.  
  • Experience preparing title commitments for residential refinance and purchase transactions.  
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.  
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience working in national title agencies.  
  • Familiarity with ALTA standards and title insurance underwriting guidelines.  
  • Knowledge of curative procedures and title resolution.  
  • Experience with commercial title examinations is a plus.  
  • Qualia and Resware software experience.
