Title: Software Engineer 3 - Salesforce
Work Hours: Mon -Fri -8am -5pm CST.
Location: Austin, TX 78751
Position: Remote

The Worker will work with technical teams comprising of technical team leads, developers, user interface/user experience engineers, and technical/functional testing analysts. The Worker will facilitate meetings, elicit project details and document requirements for development projects focused on DFPS
Enterprise Salesforce applications. The Worker will also work in concert with various technical leads (e.G., PMO, CTO, and Systems Development Resources) to prioritize assigned work and develop recommendations, options, and alternatives as required.
The Worker is responsible for the maintenance and development of DFPS's Enterprise Salesforce applications, following established standards, quality attributes, and design specifications.
This role is responsible for the following:
โ€ข Define and develop low-level design documents
โ€ข Contribute to and follow software engineering best practices to create robust and standardized solutions
โ€ข Work closely with Business Analysis and Project Management in executing the assigned development work
โ€ข Participate in design and development activities for existing and new components
โ€ข Perform full stack development including front end (Lightning Components, UI customization) and back end (Apex programming, database integration, API design) along with full CI/CD DevOps process.
โ€ข Develop scalable, low-code-no-code Salesforce applications by following the design principles and software engineering best practices
โ€ข Perform code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, test case automation, continuous integration and continuous deployment
โ€ข Identify, investigate, and resolve production problems in a timely manner, based on the priority
โ€ข Tracking Software Development Life Cycle activity metrics across all disciplines, including Requirements, Coding, Unit testing, Integration testing, Defects, Usability, and other established metrics
โ€ข Assess Level of Effort for individual modules
โ€ข Taking initiative to foster a collaborative approach among teams before, during and after the requirements gathering process to achieve a common mission, vision, values and goals
The Worker must have a strong background with extensive experience in the following:
โ€ข Ability to plan and coordinate technical activities including work breakdown, assignments, estimation of level of effort, enforcement of standards, code review, build engineering, testing, and release management
โ€ข Work closely with Business Analysis and Project Management in prioritizing the assigned work and providing options/alternatives
โ€ข Lead the design activities for existing and new components, make recommendations to the technology leadership
โ€ข Define the automation requirements in a priority order from within the team, including build, testing, and security from CI/CD perspective
โ€ข Technical background with progressive experience with Salesforce development and administration
โ€ข Ability to simplify design complexities for Junior Developers to meet the quality and timeline objectives
โ€ข Experienced with full stack development including front end (LWC, UI customization) and back end (Apex programming, triggers, database design & integration, API design/development, workflow automation). Also experienced with CI/CD DevOps process to manage source control and deployments across Salesforce environments.
