Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Chicago, IL that is seeking a Remote Senior Java Developer. This contract job is fully remote outside of the first week of training onsite in Chicago, IL. Occasional travel to the client site in Dallas, TX up to once per month may be required.
Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Java Developer to design and build a centralized enterprise application that supports a global employee resource management program. This role requires a hands-on developer who can contribute across the full software development lifecycle using modern Java and Spring Boot technologies.
Responsibilities:
* Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical solutions
* Build, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications in a secure and performant manner
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
* Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across environments
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience using Java
* Strong experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
* Experience building and deploying enterprise applications end-to-end
* Familiarity with REST APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and cloud platforms
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
