Key Responsibilities

As the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments to understand patients' emotional, psychological, and social needs.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused interventions.
  • Providing one-on-one psychotherapy sessions to patients navigating grief, anxiety, and depression related to their diagnoses.
  • Maintaining comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
  • Collaborating effectively with our interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and support for patients and their families.
  • Facilitating support groups for patients and caregivers, promoting community and shared experiences to foster healing.
  • Staying abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research and integrating new knowledge into your practice to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Managing a caseload efficiently, ensuring timely goal accomplishment while employing ethical practices in care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on providing emotional support and psychosocial care to terminally ill patients and their families. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate the complexities of end-of-life decisions, and grief. Your thoughtful approach will significantly impact their quality of life during challenging times.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing psychotherapy services in a clinical or healthcare setting, particularly in hospice care preferred.
  • Deep understanding of solution-focused therapies and evidence-based practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with patients and their families.
  • Analytical and critical thinking abilities to assess clinical situations and devise appropriate interventions.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with end-of-life and palliative care approaches.
  • Knowledgeable in community resources and support systems to assist patients and families.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
