Position Overview

People's Talk Mental Health Services is seeking dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors to deliver remote telehealth services to our diverse clientele. We are on the front lines of addressing the growing mental health crisis among adolescents and young adults, characterized by increasing rates of depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use disorders, and suicide. In this role, you will provide critical support and therapeutic interventions while operating in a fully remote capacity, contributing directly to the improvement of client mental health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions through our telehealth platform, ensuring convenience and accessibility for clients.
  • Documenting client progress, treatment efficacy, and any adjustments to treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participating actively in case discussions and team meetings with other clinicians to enhance collaborative practices and share insights on best practices in mental health care.
  • Offering support and guidance to junior-licensed clinicians through mentoring and supervision, contributing to their professional development.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be primarily working with adolescents and young adults navigating various mental health challenges. Our client base is diverse, with a significant emphasis on creating a safe and inclusive space for all individuals. With a maximum of eight clients per group session, you will have the opportunity to develop strong, therapeutic relationships that foster sustainable healing and recovery in your clients.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
  • A valid, independently issued license in one of the accepted qualifications: LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 12 hours a week for contract positions or full-time (40 hours) for W2 positions, with some evening and Saturday availability required.
  • Experience in delivering therapeutic interventions through telehealth platforms is advantageous but not mandatory.
Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with the following will stand out:

  • Prior experience working with adolescent and young adult populations facing mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Familiarity with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care methodologies.
  • Experience in a remote or telehealth environment and proficiency with virtual communication tools.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide our clinicians with access to free continuing education units (CEUs) online, allowing you to meet licensing requirements and explore areas of interest.
