Work Environment

This role is primarily a remote position, providing you with the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from your own home or preferred locations. However, you will be part of a dynamic outpatient office environment where regular collaboration with colleagues is encouraged. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, either remotely or in-home, to address specific needs related to behavioral issues, emotional disturbances, and family dynamics.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions to build coping skills and emphasize social skills development, focusing on issues such as anger management and conflict resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with the Child Family Treatment Team to create and implement individualized treatment plans that foster growth and positive change.
  • Document all session details meticulously, ensuring timely submission of intake evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Engage in regular consultations and case reviews with fellow professionals to enhance client treatment strategies and foster comprehensive care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who face various challenges, including developmental difficulties and intellectual disabilities. You will have the opportunity to positively influence their lives through tailored therapeutic interventions, working in partnership with families to address both immediate concerns and long-term wellbeing.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
  • A valid, unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in Florida.
  • Availability during weekday evenings, particularly between 4 PM and 7 PM, with flexibility for weekend sessions desired.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in positive behavior support strategies.
  • Prior experience working with a diverse clientele, especially in therapeutic settings focusing on children with intellectual/developmental impairments (I/DD).
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to facilitate in-community therapy sessions as necessary.
  • Completion of a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, is required.
