As part of our community health clinic, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments that encompass psychosocial evaluations, diagnostic interviews, and risk assessments to identify client needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific goals, preferences, and cultural context.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), in various formats such as individual, couples, family, and group counseling sessions.
• Offer crisis intervention services and ensure continuity of care by collaborating with other healthcare professionals when managing patients in acute distress.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, adhering to clinic protocols and compliance regulations.
• Conduct psychoeducation sessions with patients and their families, empowering them with the knowledge and skills needed to manage their mental health conditions.
• Engage in regular outcome assessments to monitor treatment efficacy and adjust therapeutic approaches accordingly, striving for continuous improvement in patient care.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and research in mental health to incorporate innovative practices into your clinical work.
• Uphold ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards, ensuring that patient information is protected at all times.

Your work will primarily involve supporting individuals who have experienced significant trauma, as well as addressing a spectrum of mental health concerns. You will connect with clients from varied backgrounds, emphasizing cultural competence and respect for each person’s unique journey. By providing a safe and healing space, you will help clients navigate their mental health challenges, achieve their personal goals, and empower them to lead fulfilling lives.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while also being an effective collaborator within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish strong rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

• A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling is preferred.
• Experience with trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic methodologies is advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems for documentation and coordination of care will enhance your efficiency in this role.

• The annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $84,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
