Summary
Intermittent Work Schedule
  • This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent "as needed" basis.
  • This position will NOT lead to a full-time position.
  • Intermittent employees are NOT eligible for benefits (see Addt. Information for more info).

  • Applications will be reviewed and referred for selection at periodic cut-off dates. First cut-off is 8/18/2026 with referrals to follow every two weeks thereafter until position is filled.

  • Conduct specified aptitude examination sessions ranging in size from 1 to 40 persons (enlistment tests), and 1 to 250 persons (student tests).
  • Instruct applicants on testing procedures and start, observe, time, and end tests or test segments as directed.
  • Utilize computer systems and software to administer computer-based enlistment and student aptitude tests.
  • Oversee security and accountability of student test booklets at home, during transport, and at the testing location.
  • Coordinate use of facilities to ensure adequacy of testing environment, test room control, and test security measures.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Employee must possess a valid driver's license to conduct tests in remote locations or at schools.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 100% of the time. This position requires 100% travel away from the duty station to conduct testing in remote locations or at schools.
  • Incumbent must complete and receive a favorable determination from required background checks.
  • Incumbent required to lift up to 30 lbs. (Transfer of controlled test material and equipment to and from authorized storage facilities to testing sites, as required.)

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, 1) Presenting oral instructions to individuals and/or groups; 2) Conducting thorough checks to ensure forms are properly completed; 3)Utilize automated systems to provide reports/information to others.

Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
