Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the anticipated worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the anticipated worksite. Support forward model and capacity studies for all milestones including Direct Labor and Indirect Labor in all areas (Stamping, Body, Paint, Final, Powertrain). Lead new model labor optimization efforts to achieve labor targets, through benchmarking (internal and external), target setting, tracking process change, and replicate across programs. Support the cycle line layout planning process and virtual build events with future model operator allocations and time studies and work with plants to support physical build events and program launches. Minimize and/or offset labor impacts through labor blitzes, plant tasks/projects, and identifying design/process opportunities. Assist with operator allocations, cycle line layouts, plant rebalances, line speed changes, time studies, throughput issues, and launch support. Accurately maintain and deliver required IE documentation (Labor Glidepath, Program 1-Pager, Labor by Department, Plant Line speed, APT Assessment, etc.). Develop and document standardization of methods and procedures for the organization. Drive and implement labor efficiency through deployment of global IE process, tools and standards. Work with plants to complete and evaluate time studies using MODAPTS as the measurement tool for work standards. Collaborate and work closely with manufacturing engineering, material handling, ergonomics, and/or plant personnel. Domestic Travel Required up to 25%.
