As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Freedom House Recovery Clinic, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of individual and family mental health needs to design and implement customized therapy programs.
• Providing compassionate counseling services for clients, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to their circumstances.
• Maintaining clear, accurate, and confidential client records in compliance with state and federal regulations, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Preparing and delivering educational workshops for clients and their families to facilitate better understanding of mental health issues.
• Participating in ongoing professional development through trainings and workshops to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge of best practices in the field.

Your role will require working with a diverse array of patients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and family dynamics. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds and age groups, creating a safe and culturally sensitive environment where they can explore their concerns and work towards healing. This ensures a holistic approach to therapy where personal narratives are respected and leveraged as part of the treatment process.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Maryland.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapy techniques and therapeutic frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Commitment to ethical practices and professional standards in mental health care.

In addition to the basic qualifications, candidates with at least two years of practical experience in a clinical setting focusing on marriage and family therapy will be preferred. Experience with teletherapy platforms and familiarity with remote counseling methodologies will also be considered advantageous.
