• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique challenges and formulate customized treatment plans that directly address their individual needs.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, delivering effective interventions to individuals, couples, and families.
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups to enhance patient knowledge regarding mental health topics and foster community support.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a team-based approach to patient care, creating seamless integration of services.
• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring patients receive timely care during critical situations.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment methods, and community resources, building understanding and promoting proactive engagement in the treatment process.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and integrity within patient records.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities, staying current with the latest advancements in mental health treatments.

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that presents a variety of mental health conditions, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and substance use issues. You will have the chance to foster connections and trust, which is vital in building rapport with patients from different backgrounds and experiences.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current, valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.
• Knowledge and application of evidence-based treatment modalities and therapeutic approaches.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment strategies.
• Proven experience providing both individual and group therapy across diverse populations.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Exemplary judgment concerning professional ethics and boundaries.
• Comfortable using electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient patient management.
• Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly in community health clinics.
• Demonstrated success working with specific populations, including children, adolescents, families, or culturally diverse groups.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and continuing education in specialized areas.
