Remote Immersive Media information

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in remote immersive media roles?

Professionals in remote immersive media roles often encounter challenges related to collaboration and communication, as projects typically require input from multidisciplinary teams such as designers, developers, and project managers. Working remotely can make it harder to coordinate real-time feedback and maintain creative synergy. Additionally, troubleshooting immersive technologies like VR/AR hardware or software can be more complex without in-person support. Staying updated on rapidly evolving platforms and ensuring compatibility across devices are also ongoing challenges. However, many teams leverage collaborative tools and regular virtual meetings to foster effective teamwork and overcome these obstacles.

What are Remote Immersive Media professionals?

Remote Immersive Media professionals are specialists who design, develop, or manage media experiences that use technologies like virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) from remote locations. They create digital environments or interactive content that can be accessed and interacted with by users from anywhere in the world, often for purposes such as entertainment, education, training, or marketing. These professionals often collaborate with clients and teams virtually, leveraging cloud-based tools and platforms to deliver immersive experiences without being physically present. Their roles can include content creation, technical development, project management, and user experience design.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Immersive Media Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Immersive Media Specialist, you need expertise in interactive media design, 3D modeling, and virtual/augmented reality concepts, often supported by a degree in digital media or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, VR/AR hardware, and multimedia editing software, along with relevant certifications, is highly valuable. Strong communication, creative problem-solving, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for collaborating remotely and delivering engaging user experiences. These skills and qualities are crucial for effectively creating, managing, and optimizing immersive content in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.

Join Our Vision: We are building the next generation of Spatial Media - a new way people experience videos through interaction, multi-user presence, haptics, AI, and immersive storytelling.
DeoVR is the leading immersive streaming technology serving multiple enterprise customers and millions of users globally.
We are now expanding the boundaries of what video can be - moving from passive watching to active, interactive, multi-user journeys.
If this excites you more than it scares you, you are in the right place.
The Role
We are looking for a Compositing Artist (Project-Based) to deliver clean, high-quality composites that meet the technical and visual demands of immersive media production.

What You Will Do
  • Extract clean, high-quality keys from green screen footage, including challenging cases involving hair, motion blur, and mixed lighting conditions
  • Perform spill suppression, edge refinement, and matte cleanup to create seamless final composites
  • Deliver clean alpha channels and production-ready assets in agreed formats
  • Prepare master projects and render high-quality master files optimized for streaming platforms
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience in compositing and green screen post-production workflows
  • Strong understanding of keying, alpha channels, spill suppression, edge treatment, and matte generation
  • Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Fusion
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality visual results
  • Fluency in English (B2+)
Bonus Points
  • Experience working with VR, 180ยฐ, or 360ยฐ video content
Hiring Process
  • HR Screening (30 min)
  • HM Interview (up to 1 hour)
  • Case Task (2-4 hours)
  • CEO Interview (30 min)
